Back to School "Bag It Forward" with Elmer's

When my kids were little it was hard to come up extra money to buy the smallest of school supplies even with all the great Back to School sales. I LOVE that Elmer's is running the " Bag it Forward " campaign to help out kids, moms and teachers to get those fun new Back to School school supplies every child needs to start the school year. From July 25th to Sept 1stn, for each “like” on the Elmer's Facebook page, Elmer's will donate a product to the Foundation’s national network of free stores, where teachers from disadvantaged schools can “shop” for free for school supplies. you can donate again by watching a video on the Elmer’s Kids In Need Facebook tab and sharing it with your friends and family.
One of my favorite parts of school was all the pretty new school supplies at the beginning of the year. We joined in with Elmer's and "Bag it Forward." We gathered all the basics including some Elmer's School Glue, Elme'rs Disappearing Purple School Glue Sticks and a giant stick of Elmer's X-TREME School Glue Stick and of course a pretty folder too.

Here are few ways you can " #BagitForward ." When you get your school supplies list for your kid's class grab a second set of supplies to donate to one of the kids at the school. I am sure the teacher will be aware of students in the class who could use the donation. Talk to your bishop, pasture, priest or other church leader and see if there is a family in need in your congregation that could use school supplies donated. Think of a family you may know that is struggling with unemployment and leave a little note and a bag of back to school supplies on their step like a secret Santa for back to school. And don't forget the homeschool kids. Everyone who participates can upload their photos to BagitForward.org Have fun and be sure to have your kids join in with you.
Elmer's is also a Upromise partner and that every time you purchase an Elmer's or Krazy Glue product with your registered drug or grocery card, a percentage of your purchase will be put into your Upromise account.

This project has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Elmer's #BagItForward #collectivebias all opinions are my own.

Thanks for the post. I re-posted it over on my blog where I encourage others to get involved in philanthropy. Let the "Liking" begin!
