Last week we went on a leaf peeping hike. We gathered leaves, berries, pine cones and more for some fall crafts.
Nature Valley gave us a pack full of an assortment of Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters to try and snack on while hiking. The pack also came with a water bottle and some binoculars to peep at the leaves and other things on the mountain.
The kids and I enjoyed our Nature Valley Nut Clusters. My favorite was the Honey Roasted Peanut clusters. I love that they are all natural too.
This week on our Fun Free Fridays we are giving away a fun fall hike pack for one of you that includes Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters “Snack Pack” prize pack with all four varieties of the Granola Nut Clusters along with a sling backpack, stainless steel water bottle, flashlight and binoculars. After your fall hike you can make some of these Autumn Wreaths with your family too.

Fisher-Price sent me one of their Trio Building Sets to try out. I must tell you I thought just another building set that will fall by the way side as kids favor classics such as Legos. I was wrong. My kids, nieces and nephews have been playing with the Trio Building Set and love it. The pieces fit together easily with a snap and don't fall apart with a tip or high stacking. The basic set makes several different items that seem like a set of their own. Even my 13 year old has had fun trying to see what he could come up with using the bricks, sticks and panels in the Trio Set. I love it. In fact I wish they would make some sets for the older kids as well. We will be buying more sets to add it. I should have know that it would be a great toy. I have always loved Fisher-Price.
This week I received a beautiful letterpress print in the mail for Sycamore Street Press. I thought it was pretty on their site but when I opened the package I was delighted at the beauty. It is one of those things that fills you up each time you look at it. Letterpress is lovely anyway but this La Vie en Rose print is so perfect from the cabbage rose to the pink & green to the tactile nature of the letterpress. Every time I look at it I start humming the song La Vie en Rose.
Now that our Mini-cation has come to an end we want to share a little bit of it with you. We are giving away a $40 gift card to Z'Tejas Southwestern Grill.

Now let's talk about Broadway. You have Mama Mia! for the 70's and Hairspray for the 60's. Now there is Rock of Ages for the 80's Classic Rock fans. This is one Broadway play that even those who aren't that into Broadway can love. It is set in 80's. It include songs like Can't Fight This Feeling, Sister Christian and Don't Stop Believin. It's a fun blast from the Rockin' past. You can see more about it here Rock of Ages.
